Khosa sworn in as new CM Punjab
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N candidate Dost Muhammad Khosa took oath of Punjab Chief Minister’s office here at Punjab Assembly on Saturday.
Governor Punjab, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Khalid Maqbool administered oath to the newly elected Chief Minister.
Earlier, has was elected the leader of house.
Punjab Assembly session began today with Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal in the chair. The secretary of the Assembly announced the procedure of the election of the leader of the house before the vote.
Dost Muhammad Khosa gained vote of confidence from 263 members of the house. The members of Muslim League (Q) did not attend the session.
Speaker Rana Iqbal yesterday told that the nomination papers of Dost Muhammad Khosa were found valid and he was elected unopposed Chief Minister Punjab.
